BJJ is for everyone! Some people immediately think that martial arts are for children. While there are a ton of benefit for kids, we currently only offer adult classes (15+). Men and women alike train in BJJ. Some people don’t begin training until their 50’s or 60’s, and the average BJJ player is in their early 30’s. The bottom line is that your age is not important. Whether you are 18 or 60, it doesn’t matter.

You just need to show up to one of our classes wearing sport clothes if you have a compression shirt it will be better (please bring flip flops with you because walking in the dressing room without flip flops is not allowed) . We have loaner uniforms (called a Gi, or a kimono) that you can use. We have team uniforms available for purchase later if you decide to join the team. What's the difference between Brazilian and Japanese Jiu-Jitsu?
Both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo descended from the ancient samurai unarmed fighting art known as Jujutsu. Jujutsu or “Japanese Jiu Jitsu” incorporates strikes, throws, trips, and ground fighting into a more general hand to hand combat approach. Modern Jiu Jitsu, on the other hand, focuses almost entirely on ground fighting – positions and submissions.
